Fast Beef and Broccoli

This is a great little dinner to whip up any night of the week. Try this out the next time you crave a little Asian flavor.

  1. 2 tablespoons canola oil
  2. 1 lb rib eye steak
  3. 1 tablespoon sambal paste* (garlic chili paste)
  4. 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  5. 1 cup black beans, rinsed
  6. 1/2 lb broccoli, broken into florets
  7. 1/2 cup chicken stock
  8. 1/4 cup soy sauce
  9. 10 basil leaves, thinly sliced
  1. Heat a large cast iron pan or wok over a high heat. Add oil and cook steak for about 1 - 2 minutes.
  2. Add the chili paste, ginger and beans and cook for a further 2 minutes. Remove from pan and keep warm.
  3. Add broccoli, stock, soy sauce and cook for 3 -4 minutes until broccoli has become tender.
  4. Return the beef to the pan and toss. Top with basil and serve.
  1. *sambal can be found in most grocery stores or a garlic chili paste will do also.
